How The Broken School System Affects Everyone

"What's happening in schools is none of my business".
This is wrong and here's why.
It's an error to think that just because you don't have kids in school, that you don't have to worry about issues that concern the public school system.
We shouldn't "stay in our lane", "agree to disagree" or "mind our own business" with the public school system, because the public school system is pursuing an agenda that impacts everyone.
Being silent about the public school system's war on our culture is to live in complacency. Continuing to increase school budgets and forcing your neighbors to pay for the evils that happen there is a form of persecution. It is a moral wrong to celebrate events such as graduations, high school sports achievements and the "back to school season", when students are suffering from the moral and intellectual decay that is forced upon them in the public school system, at the same time that our money is being confiscated from us to pay for a failing school system.

Below is a famous quote written by Martin Niemöller during the Holocaust of World War II. What he's illustrating is that injustices that happen to other people are everyone's business because we might be "the other people" one day.
"First they came for the Communists, and I did not speak out because I was not a communist. Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me".
"Wait!" You might say, "what does this have to do with the public school system?" Well, historically, those who would bring oppression on us and the destroy our freedoms always started in the public schools, first instituting a system that would collapse so that they could rebuild culture in their image.
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." Proverbs 31:8-9

Below are some examples of how the toxic and broken school system is affecting everyone, not just public school families.
Financially, you are supporting a corrupt system.
The public school has a bloated budget funded by your tax dollars. According to Census Bureau, the average cost per pupil per year is $15,633. Moreover, this amount only includes the annual operating expenses: when the costs of capital investment are included, the cost per pupil skyrockets to between $42k to $64k per year (amortized), depending upon the state. And in many states, such as California, these costs balloon even higher when taking into considering the large public pensions costs that the general public pays for school teachers and an administrative state. In California the annual expenditures for public education exceeds 12.8 billion dollars.
You are paying for legal settlements to families who sue the school system after their kids are injured or harmed. When a school district agrees to pay a victim after a shooting, a youth suicide, a sexual assault or teacher misconduct we all, the tax payers, are paying for those settlements, not the city or the school. Here are some examples:
You are making it hard for families to pull their children out of public school to homeschool or place in private schools because you are voting to take an excessive amount of tax dollars away from families.
You are facilitating the decline of a moral society.
You might be thinking that this is the parents job to teach character, morals and manners. However, it is clear that schools are not teaching it and neither are the parents.
You are paying for teachers to teach children how to be sexually promiscuous. Schools do not (and will not) teach abstinence, that adultery is wrong or that sex is for married couples, because one of the political parties has decided that teaching children that sex can have lifelong consequences is "religious". They teach Compressive Sex Education (CES), distribute condoms and encourage alternate lifestyles like trans, gay and furry behaviors, including it in the conversations, curriculum, legislation, and decor.
Public school graduates will one day be on a jury. Discernment and critical thinking is a christian principle not taught in schools. If someone you love is involved in a court case, you would hope that the jury has enough sober minded individuals to make the correct decision.
The nuclear family has been replaced with a culture of toxic relationships and alternate lifestyles. Broken homes, "Only Fans" businesses, the "dumpster baby" epidemic, faux DINK, "body counts", paternity testing, 4B movement, "passport bros", adultery, on-demand abortion, polygamy and open relationships, shotgun weddings, gay/trans families, "situation-ships", alimony, STD spreading, divorce, rape and teen mothers are all a result of radical sex education and the anti-christian doctrine being taught in school. Stop enabling these behaviors to be perpetuated.
Children who are born into these unions are the ones that suffer.
These behaviors are not fringe. Legislation protecting and funding these non-nuclear situations via our taxes happen often. Gay marriage, WIC and SNAP funding and requirements, alimony legistlation, In MA, an unmarried mother has 100% custady of children. Our taxes pay for transgender surgeries and abortions. The middle class can no longer afford to support and "help" this much of the general population. If people are struggling, they should utilize charitable giving.
Our society needs to protect the nuclear family the way that liberals protect the trans community and these other lifestyles. Stop voting to fund the indoctrination against the nuclear family and the teaching of Anti-Christian sexual promiscuity.
You are lowering the standards of human decency. People are rioting and burning down cities. Parents are killing their own children via hot cars and dumpsters. Retail stores are locking up laundry detergent and toothpaste because petty theft is rampant. Your neighborhood has porch pirates. Our streets are littered with the illegal dumping of mattresses, needles and garbage on the side of the road. Immoral dog walkers leave their pet waste and full bags of pet waste on their neighbors lawns. But, hey at least these individuals attended a "good public school" and received a diploma. Here's an example of how an adult can go out of control:
Public school graduates may one day marry your loved ones and you will want them to have the moral foundation to have a happy marriage with love, kindness, loyalty and a non-feminist world view. You would want their marriage to be free of abuse, adultery, narcissism and laziness. You would want the future spouse of your son or daughter to not enter the marriage with a high body count, STDs or a past abortion. These are all Christian values that are not taught at school. They are not taught by faux DINK parents either.
The "school to prison pipeline". Everyone rejoices when justice is served. It would be better people did not commit crimes in the first place. You are paying for these delinquents to society when they are incarcerated. Snacks are locked up in a store. Teaching our community that stealing is wrong, is a christian concept not taught in schools.
You are paying for children to be trained to be socialist Democrats
Do you ever wonder how Joe Biden got into office? How he was able to stay in office for so long, even when he was obviously not in control of the Executive branch of government? How did Barak Obama get into office? Or how do tyrannical bills get voted into law? It is because children go to school to be indoctrinated all day, for 12 years with anti-christian woke doctrine being packaged as truth.
DEI, Black Lives matter (BLM), COVID hysteria, climate change, common core, gay rights and history, openly protecting illegal aliens: these are all part of the public school curriculum either formally or informally. And this is happening in Republican and Democrat states.

It's not the homeschool alumni who are protesting by shutting down freeways and vandalizing businesses. You might be thinking "Those people should have respect for things like that". You are not correct. The right to freedom of speech and assembly does not mean you have a right to stop someone else from exercising their rights.
Your Second amendment rights are jeopardized. Every time there is a shooting by a non-homeschooler on school grounds or elsewhere, politicians immediately go after responsible gun owners and fight for stricter gun legislation.

You are perpetuating the trans movement.
It is a real possibility that you or someone you love could be affected by the trans movement. Our wicked government has been signing bills that protect the transexual population including "trans" children and persecute parents and business owners.
Boys are participating in girls sports in schools, winning in their competitions while sometimes injuring their female teammates in the process. They are allowed to change clothes in female locker rooms and use girls bathrooms. The reason that there are girls-only sports leagues is because it is inherently discriminatory for a boy to participate. Conversely, anyone can participate in men's sports.
It is normal for schools to expose children to drag queens, gender ideology, pronoun discussions and other LBGT indoctrination. Thanks to your tax dollars, schools have made grooming legal, socially acceptable and part of the curriculum.
You are paying for the litter boxes in bathrooms. Yes, the furry movement is a real thing.
You are facilitating the secret transitioning of children by school faculty without parent's consent.
LGBT propaganda, openly gay teachers dicussing their sexuality, curriculum and classroom decor have been a part of school for at least a decade. Yet tax payers seem unfased by it. They boycott brands like Target and Bud Light, but continue voting for more tax dollars to go towards the schools. Stop it.

You are facilitating an "R" rated school experience.
If you knew some of these experiences were happening at a private school or business, there would be calls for boycotts with the hope that the business would suffer and disappear. However, this is not the case with public schools. "R" rated activities including curriculum are knowlingly happening every day, and our neighbors continue to pour more of our tax dollars into it; not only letting it happen, but facilitating it to help it happen.

You are facilitating the training of an un-hireable workforce.
Why does school exist? A common argument for the existence of tax funded education is because we need an educated society to prepare them for life. Based on the many reports of poor math and literacy scores, school is not doing the basics of what the public is, 1) paying for them to do, 2) expects them to do and 3) we are still paying for it still even if the system produces students that are illiterate.

You are paying for an illiterate workforce. Schools are passing children on to the next grade without basic math, critical thinking or literacy.
A teacher's grade book shows every student failing. Our world is filled with qualified, educated and able bodied individuals who are un-hirable due to the toxic moral compass they learned in school. You want managers, co-workers and people who you work with to be honest and have a good work ethic. You want to trust people to not lie, cheat or steal from in a business. You want people in your workplace to take initiative, dress appropriately, have good time management skills, are punctual and follow through on their responsibilities. These principles are christian values that are not taught in schools or at home. We are experiencing the fruit of this rotten tree. Many people in the workforce are lazy and have a terrible work ethic.
Even if you don't own a business you will still be interacting with people working for you in various ways throughout your life and you would want them to have a good work ethic. Here are some examples.
These future graduates may be a waitress serving your dinner, an Uber driving you to the airport, or a mechanic working on your vehicle for example. You may likely have someone working in your home like a painter, a babysitter or a plumber. They might be your nurse treating you at your doctor visit. You might buy something on facebook marketplace and you would want that transaction to be safe and free of fraud. Are you confidant that the clerk you are interacting with at the retail store will not steal your credit card?
If you are a parent who has instilled good character, work ethic, math and literacy skills into your child, they will likely be colleagues someday with someone who is not.
Someone on a neighborhood FB page is looking for a mechanic with Christian values A viral photo of someone pointing out bullies in the workforce.

You are perpetuating the vaccine hysteria.
Many states have laws requiring children to be vaccinated to attend school. Currently, If you do not vaccinate, you likely live a normal life. Your job and places you visit have no immunization requirements. Schools are one of the few places that still have vaccine rules in place, and as I am writing this post, the rules about religious exemptions and vaccines are increasing primarily in the education arena.
If you do not have a child in the system, you may think this does not affect you.
However, you are however paying huge amounts of your taxes for the government to continue to force vaccinations onto families. Remember how you boycotted the business that forced masks and the vaccine passports to enter the building? There is no boycott here and many of your neighbors have and will continue to "support the schools" and vote for more budget increases using your tax dollars. Stop it.
Here is a list of states and their vaccine laws about attending school. Link
