It is not that you aren’t making enough. Too much is taken out of your paycheck.

What if you only paid for fire, police, and road maintenance in your property taxes and everything else had a crowd funding page? Americans would have more financial freedom.

Entitlement reform would mean more financial freedom for our neighbors.
Everyone wants a "livable wage". It seems like everyone is cutting back on spending. Eating at restaurants less, not buying a new car as often and cutting coupons. People often ask for business recommendations that "won't break the bank" on social media. However, the government is actually the ones "breaking the bank". They are the ones increasing the cost of living and causing the inflation. They are sometimes able to accomplish this with the help of voters like you. Our neighbors willingly vote for more spending, tax increases, and increased budgets on the seemingly endless list of government services without thinking of the effects on the economy.
https://youtube.com/shorts/lmyfj1ivd7Q?si=nTIFLoGVu_Q_G8XM great short video illustrating this.
For many Americans, no matter how much of a raise they get or what their salary is, they are struggling to make ends meet. The internet is full of videos like this. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/DXunWKtGuQ2VZQzG/ Americans cannot afford “free” entitlements and the inflation that comes with them. We have an out of control “big Government” because spending in out of control.
It seems like every election cycle there is a ballot question "Do you want to build or buy this_____ ? It would add _____ to your property tax." People will vote yes, completely ignoring those who want to save for retirement, live on a fixed income or are struggling single parents.
A local town had "Remodeling the Senior Center" on the ballot. People were openly angry it was voted down. Now, 6 months later, they are putting on the ballet again. It is still a large financial burden on tax payers and many paying citizens would not be able to actually use the center. If you are in this situation where you feel something is needed in your town, set up a crowd funding page. Do not keep coming at us tax payers to foot the bill!
The Boston Tea party happened as a result of taxes much smaller than the ones today. Today, our neighbors gladly vote more taxes and regulation without thought.
When buying something at the renaissance fair, the vender will tell you "this is the total and this amount for the king". This is their nice way of saying "Tax" in a historical setting. However, even though we don't call our U.S. President a "king", this metaphor is not far from the truth. Americans give a great amount to our government sometimes willingly through elections and the jaring reaction to our actual tax bill and the 3$ tax summary we get at the Ren fair are about the same.
We live in a "class system". People who work and pay taxes are called "The Working Class" because there is a large population who live on tax funded government "free" programs and entitlements alone. Stop this machine. People who are in need should use charity programs instead.

Tax funded activities use the word “free” to advertise their programs too often. a "free" craft at the library, a new state of the art playground remodel, splash pad, The city pool, firework displays, Movies at the park, museums, "free" summer concert in the park. A lizard show, Mosquito spraying. The list goes on. If you don’t not use or like any of these, you still have to pay for them and it is increasing the cost of living. I'm sure many Americans would rather have rent money than "free" story times at the library. Taking money from tax payers to fund these programs is theft and it’s not sustainable.
In an economy where families struggle to make ends meet, these programs get paid first before you even pay your bills. We saw this during Covid times. Dance schools, retail shops, indoor playgrounds were mandated to sit and wait indefinably until the politicians told us it was over. meanwhile, Libraries, schools and the government funded services were able to keep their jobs and continue whatever funding they had to keep the lights on. Stop funding this machine!

"Redacted town Cultural Council Now Accepting Applications for Grant Funds"- means "apply to a bureaucratic government agency to get money from taxes towards your private business. Rules are arbitrary and not everyone will get money. Only business that the bureaucracy decides will get money. This is facism. Plain and simple.
The entitlement culture is encouraged. The number of "free" programs is so great, that when people have to pay for something, it sounds expensive. No matter how much it is or what it is. People always want services "That don't break the bank". However, The government is is actually "breaking the bank" and causing inflation of goods. People get angry when they have to pay for something. Parents lament about having to buy school supplies goes viral on social media every year.
The American dream is dying

Due to the high cost of living, The “American dream” has been replaced with living in a van, tent cities, food insecurity, having multiple jobs, transient living, being "house poor", a culture of debt, the “Rat race”, businesses including grocery stores are closing and going bankrupt. Families are not able to save for retirement or pay their college loans. Shopping centers and malls have become empty “ghost towns.” Americans are choosing not to own cars or even learn to drive. https://www.foxbusiness.com/media/fewer-young-people-choosing-buy-drive-cars-seeking-avoid-financial-burden-report?intcmp=fb_fnc&fbclid=IwY2xjawFnbwpleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHTCb3Zt931LV1uTevV4wtJNvemWxVa72alzNwfXCGt8z3uueRtIIPqxKZQ_aem_pYiOIqIusTSXsfh1Oh-SxA
Unemployment is high. Unemployment statistics are based on the number of unemployment claims people make. Statistics and figures do not show people who have stopped looking for a job, are under employed or are not connected with a large cooperation.
Buying a home is difficult. In 2024, the median first-time homebuyer was 38 years old, a jump from age 35 the previous year, according to a recent report by the National Association of Realtors. That’s significantly above historic norms, when median first-time buyers hovered between 30 and 32 years old from 1993 to 2018. https://whdh.com/news/with-home-prices-and-mortgage-rates-high-many-families-find-the-american-dream-out-of-reach/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_7News_-_WHDH_Boston&fbclid=IwY2xjawILRfRleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHfMJT-HQemnMlRWuSUp7JCj5SQyOzY0W8ga89LeX5jWMmdxiNAgC8xqQEw_aem_IV1WyGNKfII_-g2ovybS9g
Emergencies happen- Does the average American really have the money to pay for an unexpected expense? This man talks about how finantial freedom was one reason residents did not evacuate before Hurricane Helene. Responding appropriately to emergencies requires a savings "nest egg" that many Americans do not have. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/XyQG8y2kZJFmmJPz/
There is a culture of poverty where the average American laments about not bing able to afford what used to be normal things. Going out with a friend for lunch, date nights, retiring as an aging adult, paying for a family members funeral expenses, buying a birthday gift for your child's friend, and buying your child school supplies to name a few.
The Government are bad stewards of your money
It is easy for the Government to steal resources- in 9/2024- NYC school employees took their kids to Disney world using tickets meant for homeless students: This is a stewardship issue. tax payers are giving blank checks to the government to "help" another group of people with no accountability or risk.
Tax funded programs cannot help you. on September 27, 2024, Hurricane Helene damaged major cities across six states. Many lost their homes and many lives were lost. FEMA, our tax funded disaster relief organization was not able to adequitly help huricane victims due to their mismanagement of funds. Our government drained the accountsm using the money on non- disaster related matters. It would have been better if our neighbors were able to keep the money. Victims would have been able to provide their own disaster relief via hotel rooms/ food/ replacing their homes. Unaffected citizens would have had more financial freedom to donate to crowdfunding or buy gasoline for their chainsaws.
Supposedly, our taxes pay for road maintenance. However, cities not filling pot holes have become a punch line in our society. Why? They have the money already. Why don't they fill them?
"I'm from the government, and I'm here to help." Ronald Regan. "When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic. Sell not liberty to purchase power." Ben Franklin.
Stop giving blank checks to the government. Vote NO on any new taxes. Cut Government budgets if you are able.

It will help homeschoolers by cultivating a culture where families can comfortably live in a single income household and pay for private classes and other out of pocket education related expenses easier.
